OBITUARY
Faustina “Inay” Z Gruezo was born in Batangas, Philippines. She was one of eight (survived by her brother Ricardo). She married the love of her life Ephren. They went on to have Jo, Jegs, Jesus, Julie, Jovita, and Jojo. In the 1980s, they moved to the US where her family laid down roots across both coasts. She went on to have grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Inay has traveled the world, visiting multiple countries in Europe, Asia, and cruises with her daughters. She’s won multiple jackpots in casinos over the years. She was an active member of her Senior Community Center, participating in various bingo nights, Zumba classes, and even winning a beauty pageant. Her legacy with her community and Chicago was solidified in 2023, where she modeled as the center of an award winning mural in Ravenswood. So in that way, she is inay to all who pass by her likeness.
Many of you are traveling across the country to celebrate the life of Faustina “Inay” in Chicago, and your presence is an honor. If you'd still like to contribute to the funeral fund, please reach out to Julie Ann (Jett Jett).
